Clarity Before Commitment

How it works

From an SMA concept to a Screening Record

Enter a Shape Memory Alloy concept. SMA DIS returns a Screening Record: what the evidence supports, what is assumed, where the risk sits, and which validation still has to happen before commitment.

The path

Four steps, then human judgment

  1. Describe the concept

Application, operating conditions, force or stroke targets, temperature range, and safety criticality, as far as they are known.

  2. Run feasibility screening

The screening checks the concept against evidence, stated assumptions, and known SMA limits. Proceed is blocked when there is no supporting evidence.

  3. Read the Screening Record

You get readiness, risk, confidence, evidence sources, open gaps, and a validation path a reviewer can argue from.

  4. Decide what to prove next

Use the record in design review. Lot testing, FEA, and qualification stay outside the product. The record names what still must be proven.

Paid access

What each paid workspace is for

Explorer Free

Start with a small monthly screening allowance, handbook context, and the same evidence rules as paid Explorer.

Explorer Unlimited

Pay for higher screening capacity under published reasonable use. Same screening quality as Explorer Free, higher volume.

Decision Studio

Pay for review pressure: Screening Record export, team workspace, and a record shaped for design-review handoff.

SMA Pro

Deeper NiTi wire physics screening. Entitlement-gated. Still not certification or a substitute for test campaigns.
